One day, three students were talking about the dreams of the future.
One of them was a young man who studies fine arts ; the second was studying business; and the third was studying philosophy.
“I hope I'll be as famous as Picasso,” the first one said.
“I hope I'll be as powerful as Rockefeller,” the second said.
Philosophy looked at both of them and said quietly, “You know, there are two tragedies in life.”
“What do you mean?” the two other asked.
“Oh,” he said, “one was not to get what he desired most in his life.”
“The second,” they asked.
“The second was he got it.”
有一天，三个学生谈论未来的梦想。
他们当中，一个是学美术的；一个学做生意；还有一个学哲学。
“我希望将来能像毕加索那样有名气。”学美术的说。
“我希望将来成为洛克菲勒那样有权有势的人。”学做生意的学生说。
学哲学的看了看他俩，平静地说道：“知道吗？人生有两大悲剧。”
“你这话什么意思？”另外两个人问。
“哦。”他说，“一个就是最想要的得不到。”
“那第二个呢？”他俩问。
“第二个就是得到之后。”
