在初中英语作文中，“Do not give up”（永不放弃）这个主题特别常见。很多同学一看到这个题目就犯愁：到底该写什么内容？如何展开？哪些词句能加分？
“Do not give up” 的意思是不要轻言放弃，坚持到底。这个主题通常要求你讲述：

Many people give up easily when they meet difficulties, but I believe that we should never give up.
Last year, I took part in the school English speech contest. At first, I didn’t speak well and forgot some lines. I felt nervous and wanted to quit.
But my teacher encouraged me to try again. I practiced every day and kept improving. Finally, I stood on the stage with confidence. I didn’t win the first prize, but I was proud of myself because I never gave up.
From that experience, I learned that success doesn’t come easily. As long as we keep going, we can do better next time. So, never give up, no matter what!

don’t give up 是命令句，适合句首强调语气
描述过去经历时，注意时态一致，比如用了 last year，就要用过去式
