很多同学在写“我建议他做某事”这样的句子时，会不自觉地说成：I suggest him to...，听起来是不是顺口又合逻辑？但其实，这种表达是不对的！那么，“suggest”这个词到底怎么用才地道？

一、“I suggest him to do...” 是错误句型！

✘ 错误示范：

I suggest him to have his book published as soon as possible.

错误原因：“suggest”后不能直接接人加动词不定式（to do）。英语里这个动词的语法结构跟汉语逻辑不同，这点特别容易搞混。

二、正确句型：suggest to sb. that...（虚拟语气）

✔ 正确表达：

I suggest to him that he (should) have his book published as soon as possible.
我建议他尽快出版这本书。

“suggest” 作为动词，后面要用结构：

• suggest to someone that + 主语 + (should) + 原形动词

注意，that 从句中动词要用原形，这是典型的虚拟语气。

2. suggest that + 主语 + 动词原形（虚拟语气）

如果是说“某人建议某人做某事”，就要加to someone，再用that + 虚拟语气。

• I suggested to my boss that we (should) reduce the budget.
       我向老板建议我们应该缩减预算。

五、suggest 和 advise 的区别

很多同学疑惑，suggest 和 advise 有啥不同？

• suggest：强调“建议”，中性、非强制。

• advise：更正式、更强烈、常带权威色彩。
