A farmer takes a big bag of seeds to sell at the market. Suddenly , his cart 's wheel hits a big stone. Bump! One of the seeds falls out of the bag and onto the hot, dry ground.
“I'm scared ,”says the seed.“I need to be safe under the soil .”Just then an elephant walks on the seed and pushes it into the ground.
“I'm thirsty,”says the seed.“I need some water to help me grow. ”Just then it starts to rain.
A few days later, the seed has a little green shoot , and then green leaves. It sits in the sun and grows taller and taller.
Three years later, the seed becomes a plant, and then the plant becomes a tree.
Now it is big and strong. There are many yellow pears on it. And it makes seeds of its own.

三年后，那颗种子变成了一棵小树，小树又长成了一棵大树。
现在这棵树又高又壮，树上黄梨累累，还有了自己的种子。
