英语里表示“一......就......”的表达方式很多，最常见的就是 immediately、the moment、the instant、the second 和 the minute。这些词在很多场合可以互换，但也有一些小差别。

immediately 最常见的意思是“立刻、马上”，通常是副词，比如：
He left immediately after the meeting. 他会议一结束就离开了。
Call me immediately if anything goes wrong. 如果出问题马上打电话给我。
但是在英式英语中，immediately 还可以像 as soon as 一样，用作连词，表示“一……就……”，引导时间状语从句。
Tell me immediately you have any news.
你一有消息就告诉我。
I knew something was wrong immediately I arrived.
我一到那里就知道有事不对劲。
小提示：这种immediately + 主语 + 动词的结构，在美式英语中不太常见，但英式英语里很自然！
这几个词都是用来表达动作发生得非常快、几乎同时，它们后面都可以接一个完整的句子，表示“某件事一发生，另一件就紧接着发生”。

The enemy plane was shot down the moment it intruded into our air space.
敌机一进入我方领空就被击落了。
I loved you the instant I saw you.

这些表达英美通用，而且比 as soon as 或 when 更生动，更有“立刻、瞬间”的感觉。
