Hello everyone! I have a pen pal. Her name is Sarah. She lives in New York City. We became pen pals last year when my teacher started a pen pal exchange program.

Sarah and I write letters to each other every month. In our letters, we talk about our hobbies, school life, and what we do for fun. I like to tell her about my favorite sports, such as swimming and basketball. She tells me about her dance lessons and her soccer team. Sarah also likes to share pictures of her city with me.

Last month, I received a package from Sarah. It was full of American candies and snacks. I was so excited to try them all! In return, I sent her some traditional Chinese souvenirs, such as a paper-cutting artwork and a mini terra-cotta warrior.

Through our letters and packages, Sarah and I have learned a lot about each other's cultures. We have also improved our English skills. One day, I hope to meet Sarah in person and show her around my hometown.
