Jack, 29, was fired by his company, but he didn't lose heart. After taking a fancy to a construction company, he sent the first job application letter to the boss. He didn't put up a bluff for himself in the letter, but simply wrote, “Please offer me a job.”

Upon receiving the letter, the boss ordered his clerk to reply, “Our company isn't short of an employee.” But Jack didn't give up and wrote the second letter to the boss. This time, he didn't brag about himself, but added a more “Please” on the basis of the first one, “Please please offer me a job.”

Since then, Jack wrote two application letters to the company every day. He didn't talk about himself in any letter, but only added a more “Please” at the beginning of the previous letter.

After 60 letters, the boss could remain calm no longer and replied himself, “Please come to the company for an interview right away.”

Jack's success was not eager to explain how wonderful he was, but did his utmost to show his sincerity and respect. Very often, what people care about is not what you have, but what relationship you have with them. Jack successfully created a “relationship” instead of with money or even with talent, but only with 60 “Pleases”.

Success is so simple.
