Should Private Cars Be Encouraged in China?

Should private cars be encouraged in China? This is a controversial question. There are many reasons to encourage people to own cars.First。a car allows a person to move around freely.Second,a car is a comfortable travelling vehicle, especially in the winter or in bad weather.Third,as a luxury item,a car can contribute to economic growth.

However, there are also many arguments against it.First, with the increase of private cars.the roads are becoming more and more crowded and it is tiring to drive in heavy traffic.Second, the poisonous gas greatly pollutes the atmosphere and does harm to people’s health.Third.the number of traffic accidents is increasing remarkably in recent years.

In my opinion,we must weigh every factor carefully before making decisions about buying private cars.Though the number of private cars keeps on increasin9,popularization of luxurious things like cars will have to wait. After a11.I don’t think it is wise to encourage private cars in China.

The private motor vehicle has given us a freedom our ancestors could not dream about. We can travel swiftly, and usually safely, over the roads which have been built to accommodate our cars. People can display their wealth by driving a car which may cost as much as another person’s home. - Introduction: advantages of cars (brief)

Sadly the car has become a disadvantage as well as a boom. The car pollutes the atmosphere, may be involved in serious accidents, and by its very numbers blocks roads and chokes cities. How can we reduce its use? - Brief statement of problem: disadvantages of cars

The car is only desirable if we can use it easily, so we might begin by reducing access to parking spaces in the cities and simultaneously increasing the quality and availability of public transport. Cars could be banned form certain parts of the city, thus forcing people to walk or to use public transport. - Ideas for cutting the number of cars

The expense of buying and running a car can be raised. If the motorist is faced with a high purchase price, high road tax, high insurance premiums and substantial fines he or she may reconsider the purchase. A corresponding reduction in the price of public transport would help this financial argument against car ownership.

Neither of these arguments will sway the super rich who can afford the status cars, but it would perhaps encourage them to look at other ways of demonstrating their wealth. However we do it, reducing the number of cars on the road will reduce the problems of pollution and the congestion which can bring cities to a standstill. - Conclusions: states the benefits of reducing the number of cars.

The Real-name Train Ticket Purchase System Launched

The Real-name Train Ticket Purchase System Launched
With the largest population in the world and an underdeveloped railway system, China is notorious for making train tickets particularly hard to purchase for ordinary citizens, especially during the Spring Festival when the railway is the primary means of transportation. As a result, ticket scalpers have proliferated, monopolizing a large quantity of tickets by either hiring people to buy tickets or conspiring with the ticket sellers within the railway stations.
As the entire nation’s outrage over ticket scarcity keeps mounting, the Chinese government has introduced the drastic measure that citizens purchase train tickets with valid personal IDs. The system is designed primarily to crack down on ticket scalpers whose business has developed into a major industry. By allowing each individual to buy only one ticket, the system seeks to make tickets accessible to people in real need, rather than controlled by a small number of profit-seeking and illegal scalpers.
However, this reformatory measure, while somewhat easing ticket scarcity, creates new problems. Buyers find the whole buying process troublesome and time-consuming. When boarding the train, the passenger who forgets to bring his valid ID certificate will be denied access to the train. I believe the introduction of each new system is coupled with shortcomings and there must be ways to improve the system as it is enforced. Of course, we look forward to the day when China’s railway networks are so sufficiently developed that tickets are readily available to anyone at any time.

Should cars be allowed into College Campus?

With the rapid development of our national economy, private cars have become in large number; of course, quite a few cars are heavily driven into College Campus.

In a significant way, these cars do not take up students’ places for study, but actually affect their daily life and study-- for instance, this crowd of cars may make noise and emit filthy gas to choke us to death. And the campus is jammed with lines of cars and seems to be parking lot instead of an academic institute. So cars have been strictly prohibited into many College Campuses. It seems that this is not convenience to some persons, indeed, but this is for the sake of our safety. Thus when someone enjoys convenience from modern tools, don't forget that it is dangerous to the students in the College Campus. Therefore, I agree that cars are not allowed into College Campus.

By and large, with the price of cars falling significantly, cars will enter average families, and most Chinese will enjoy a luxurious lifestyle in their life. However, they are still prohibited to drive their cars into College Campus, which , I think, is a hard truth in the eyes of most people.

Bicycles Battle with Cars for Streets

Riding bicycles can free riders from several troubles when traffic is heavy. First, riders need not elbow their way up into a crowded bus. Second, they can go wherever they please when numerous vehicles hold up the traffic. Third, bicycling does much good to the health of regular riders Finally, riding bicycles is eco friendly(有利生态的,有利环保的).

While bicycles are hailed as "green traffic", urban drivers are complaining about them jamming up the already tight traffic. A boiling sea of bicycles have become a headache for causing traffic jams and accidents. The problem of bicycles battling with cars is mingled with (混合) high level of urbanization (都市化) and low level of infrastructure(基础设施).

In my opinion, the tough problem must be solved, otherwise, the growing conflict will steadily grow worse with more automobiles on busy streets.
Road building and traffic control should be improved. In the long run bicycling will still be a necessary and economical supplement to the various modes of public transport provided in China the kingdom of bicycles.
