MONEY AND CLAY OVEN ROLLS

A coin dealer and a vendor selling clay oven rolls were trapped on a hill by the flood. Two days later, the coin dealer ate up the food he brought, only leaving a bag of money. The vendor still had a bag of clay oven rolls.

The coin dealer put forward a proposal that he would use a coin to buy a clay oven roll. The vendor thought the chance to make a fortune had come, so he put forward to trade a bag of clay oven rolls for a bag of coins. The coin dealer agreed.

Day after day, the flood did not recede . When the coin dealer was eating the clay oven rolls bought from the vendor, the latter was as hungry as a wolf. At last he couldn't stand it, so he proposed buying back those rolls he had sold. The coin dealer didn't fully accept his condition, only promising him to trade 5 coins for a roll.

After the flood receded, all the clay oven rolls had been eaten up while a bag of money went back to the coin dealer again.
