一、furthermore是副词，意思是：而且；此外；再者。一般用作状语。

进一步说明，后面比前面所要涉及的内容更近一步，是递进关系。

例句：

He said he had not discussed the matter with her. Furthermore, he had not even contacted her. 

他说他没有和她讨论过这个问题。而且，他甚至没有和她联系过。

二、moreover是副词，意思是：此外，而且。

多为补充说明，前面所说的及后面所补充的是并列关系，就是补充未说完的话。

例句：

The task is difficult, and moreover, time is pressing.

任务艰巨，并且时间紧迫.

三、区别

①furthermore用于更进一步说明某事，语气较坚定。

I don’t want to go there, furthermore, I have no time to do so.

我不想去那里，而且我也没时间去。

②moreover用于诉说某事还未说完的部分。

The price is too high, and moreover, the house isn’t in a suitable position.

这幢房子价钱太贵，再者位置也不好。
