worthwhile既可以做表语，又可以作定语。

1、句型：be worthwhile doing / to do  值得做......

It is worthwhile discussing the question again.

=It is worthwhile to discuss the question again.

这个问题值得再次讨论。

2、worthwhile可以分开写。

It is worth while+动名词/不定式，it为形式主语，真正的主语为动名词/不定式。

while前面有所有格时，一般接动词不定式；

没有所有格时，一般接动名词。

注意：在通常情况下，若句首没有形式主语it就不宜使用此句型。

例句：

It’s worth our while to discuss the question.

这个问题值得我们讨论。

It is worth while pointing out that his plan is practical.  

值得指出的是，他的计划切实可行。
