quite有相当，完全，非常等含义。作副词使用。

1、quite a+名词，名词前可有形容词修饰。意思是：很，非常，相当。

It must have been quite a blow to you.

这对你一定是个相当大的打击。

He is quite a clever boy．

他是个相当聪明的孩子。

2、quite与一些表示"完整"、"完全"的意思的词如all right，certain，empty，finished，ready，right，wrong等连用时，意思是"完全地"、"全然地"。

You're quite wrong．

你完全错了。

3、not quite，意思是“没有完全……”，表示部分否定。

She is not quite well．

她没有完全康复。

4、完全一样：exactly the same，不能说quite the same.

不完全一样：not quite the same.

完全赞同：quite agree，但反义一般不说quite disagree.
