一、作动词

①指在运动或游戏中，获得进球或得分。

He scored two home runs back to back in the 9th inning. 

他在第9局连续获2分。

②指测试或调查中，获得的评分。

He had scored an average of 8 on three tests.

他在3项测试中平均得分是8分。

③指做某事获胜、获得成功、命中。

In recent months, I have scored some significant victories.

最近几个月里，我已经取得了一些不小的胜利。

二、做名词

①指游戏或比赛中的得分，比分。

4-1 was the final score. 

最终比分是4比1。

②指（一首乐曲的）总谱、曲目。

He recognizes enough notation to be able to follow a score.

他认得足够多的乐符，看懂乐谱不成问题。

三、作数词，意思是“20个”。

a score of  可表示“二十个”，也可表示“许多”。

A score of cars were parked outside. 

外边停着二十几辆汽车。
